"My DIY"
by Miss O Scoop's Senior Writer, Kim Potts is a cool idea for making Cookie Cutter Finger Sandwiches.
Everyone loves sandwiches, and these adorable little treats are not only yummy, but almost too cute to eat! Make bunches of them, in all varieties and shapes, for your party!
Materials:
- Bread, any type
- Sandwich makings. Ideas: peanut butter and jelly; bologna and cheese; ham and cheese; turkey and cheese; plain cheese; peanut butter and marshmallow crème; cream cheese and jam; egg salad; tuna salad; peanut butter and honey; cream cheese and sliced veggies; or peanut butter and bananas.
- Cookie cutters
DIY Step-By-Step:
- Make various kinds of sandwiches.
- Place them on a flat surface and use the cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the whole sandwich, just as you would cookie dough.
- Stack the sandwiches on a bed of lettuce on a pretty platter.
Extra Touches:
Make little signs for the plates that tell what's inside each sandwich; on the serving plates, put little dishes of dipping sauce, like ketchup, mustard, mayo, onion dip and hummus; use different types of bread for a variety of flavors and colors; line the mini sandwiches along the edge of your serving plate and fill the middle of the plate with chips, pretzels, cheese cubes, fruit and crackers.
