YOU ROCK! INCREASE YOUR SELF CONFIDENCE

We know believing in yourself can be hard sometimes. Everyone goes through a rough patch now and again. If you’ve gotten off track or just need to remind yourself how great you really are, try these tips from Miss O Club members!

THREE WAYS TO RAISE YOUR ESTEEM
By: Dusti, 10, LA (aka longhorse96)

Do you ever feel alone and feel like no one cares? Or do you feel stupid, ugly, or left out. We all probably feel like that sometimes. Here are three ways to feel better:

  • Make a List: Try making a list. Draw a line down the middle of the page. On one side label it Things I Like About Me. On the other side label it Things I don’t Like About Me. Then write down the things that you like and don’t like about you self. Then try to improve the things you don’t like about yourself and scratch them of your list as you do.

  • Talk to an Adult You Trust: Lots of times you have an adult you like to talk to. Talk to your mom, dad, older sister, friends mom, etc. They will help you do the right thing and get over your problems.

  • Do Something: Sometimes doing something for your town, neighbors, friends, or family will raise your esteem. Get into the spirit. Help plant plants in the park, help your friend study, have fun! And feel better!

HOW TO BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR BODY
By: Kristyna, 11, NY (aka hearts333)

Everyone knows that weight is a big deal. But here are some quick things you can (and shouldn’t) do to look and feel your best.
DO:

  1. Tell yourself that you’re beautiful and don’t worry about what other people think.
  2. If someone makes a rude comment about you or a joke about you don’t listen to it and defend yourself.
  3. If you want to get in shape: you have to eat right, that means no junk food (okay once in a while) and exercise but don’t go over your limit (do what’s comfortable for you).
  4. And lastly after you are finished with rule 3 commend yourself and say with pride I’M BEAUTIFUL and I DID IT!

DON’T

  1. Never starve yourself to look tiny.
  2. Don’t ever tell yourself that you are ugly.
  3. If you see a celebrity in a magazine that’s your favorite and you adore and you want to look like her or him don’t starve yourself to look like them because even celebrities need to workout too!

I hope this gave you some tips on how to look and feel your best. And remember their are a lot of people out there who want to lose weight or want to feel beautiful and I hope this works.
    Remember to say YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL**

Already have all the confidence you need? Then you are in a great position to help someone else boost theirs (and perhaps find a great friend you didn’t know was there)! Read about it from Miss O Club member fergiololli…

NOT ABOUT ME!
By: megan, 10, United Kingdom (aka fergielolli)

Is someone you know lonely? Hurt? Upset? I have the answer!
You may not like this particular person but once you get to know them you might like them! Remember, this person might be very lonely and you could make their frown turn into a smile! Also, if you were left all on your own when everyone had friends you’d want someone to talk to once in a while when you get lonely wouldn’t you?

Here’s my easy 5 step way of a great friendship:
1. Talk to someone that is on their own start a conversation.
2. Find out what they like to do/hobbies you might have a lot in common.
3. Introduce this person to your friends they might like this person too!
4. If this person is being teased, stand up for them and don’t let anyone tease them!
5. Bring out the best in them introduce them to everyone in their year and get them some new friends.
These facts might help with someone in school!

THE GIRL INSIDE
By: Miranda, 11, TN (aka ceareal1054)

Every girl doesn’t always have self confidence when you need it. But if you just believe in yourself then you can have it. You look beautiful and you are lucky to know about miss o and friends. No matter what you have a friend waiting for you. I just moved to Tennessee from Michigan. I lost all of my friends. I used to think that I don’t have any school friends. But when ever I believe in myself then I can have as many friends as I want. So just remember have self confidence.
