HOW CAN I HELP?
By: Emina, 10 (aka Emina123)

Sometimes you may ask this question to yourself: "How Can I Help?" Truly, there are lots of ways you can help in your community or even your neighborhood. Here's some of them:

  1. Helping feed homeless people on the streets is one thing you can do to help. Donate canned goods to a food drive or organize your own food drive. You can even tell your friends to donate something! Mostly, it's the giving that matters. For food drives, instead of buying food you're really supposed to take something lying around in your pantry that you may never use. It's a great way to help!

  2. To encourage your neighbors, organize a neighborhood newspaper or newsletter. Your neighborhood may already have one, but, you can still make a contribute to it by writing an article about a food drive you may be starting, and how to help. You wouldn't want to live on the streets would you?

  3. Help the environment by picking up trash & bottles you may find in your neighborhood or even in your school yard. Don't let other people do all the work!

Those were just a few ways how you could make a difference in your community.

HOW TO DEAL
By: Miranda, 11, GA (AKA roxygirl9595)

For those girls who have just started middle school like me and don't know what to do about all the stress, I'm here to help! If you're worried about getting lost ask for a map. Put it in your binder so when you're switching classes you have it handy. If you're worried about forgetting homework, use your planner! Record your homework in it and any special test you need to study for. If you have friend problems, try going up to someone and saying hi! Then slowly start up a conversation. And if you think your teacher is going to be mean, don't worry. If she is then try to be nice. But other than that, hope you have a great year! And if a bully is bullying you then stand up for yourself but the main key is to be yourself!
