GETTING INVOLVED
As you grow up, you come to realize a
world exists outside your own. Getting involved and
helping others is a way we leave our marks on that
world. Read on to see how these Miss O Scoop readers have gotten involved, not only in their own communities, but also how they've touched others across the globe.
Lend a Helping Hand

Everybody knows what happened in the tsunami. But the problem is that not everybody is trying to make the effort and help. We all understand how busy kids are these days but, think about the people in the affected areas. THINKING ABOUT IT HELPS! How would you like it if your country didn't have that much money and not everybody seemed to care about the devastation to your homeland?
Here are some ideas:
- Start a club and have special club events and with the money donate it to tsunami relief efforts. (bake sales, car washes, etc.), OR
- Talk to your school president to start something like a school store. Ask to sell school items there and use half of the proceeds to tsunami relief and to the school. And trust all of us at miss o and friends, it feels good when you help!
