Three for All

This part of the competition is as good to me as the opening audition pieces but on a different level. This is where the good get better and we see true performance levels out of the competitors. David Archuleta's first performance was predictable, though through now fault of his own (Paula picked the song). His second song choice was what I had been asking for, Chris Brown's 'With You' -- an upbeat love song. But I really didn't like it and it really showed me that David is really just a crooner. I was bored with the final song, 'Longer', that the Producers chose for him, but it wasn't his fault as he didn't choose it!

I am so happy to see Syesha Mercado still standing on the stage, I really thought she'd have been gone by now. But she's up there doing her thing! I thought her 'If I Ain't Got You' performance was good, nothing surprising but yet a GREAT performance. 'Fever' was very sultry, as it should be, and showed a different side of this talented young woman. I actually liked Syesha's final performance I thought it added a nice new dimension to her on stage personality. To bad the judges didn't agree ... and with that said I think Syesha will be going home this week.

Simon really tried to throw a wrench at David Cook, but he flung that wrench right back with an excellent performance of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.' David rocked the house for 'I Dare You to Move,' but it wasn't my favorite performance of his, though it was QUITE good! His performance of 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' was nothing new, but still great and I'm excited to say I think he might really win this thing!
