In Need of Inspiration
April 8, 2008
Was it just me -- or was tonight's show pretty lame? I don't know why, but I didn't really LOVE any of the performances. Maybe it was because most of the songs were so slow and mellow. I did see some star qualities in David Archuleta's, Michael Johns' and Jason Castro's performances. I really think these three guys have a boatload of talent.
If you need a performance recap, here's who sang what:
Michael Johns -- 'Dream On' by Aerosmith
Ssyesha Mercado -- 'I Believe' by Fantasia Barrino
Jason Castro -- 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (Braddah Iz)
Kristy Lee Cook -- 'Anyway' by Martina McBride
David Cook -- 'Innocent' by Our Lady Peace
Carly Smithson -- 'The Show Must Go On' by Queen
David Archuleta -- 'Angels' by Robbie Williams
Brooke White -- 'You've Got A Friend' by James Taylor
This week was such a snooze fest for me that I hope next week picks up a bit. If I had to send someone home it would be Kristy Lee Cook as I think compared ot the rest she's not strong enough. But if I based my opinion solely on tonight's performances I think it would be Carly Smithson or David Cook and that pains me to say, as I LOVE them both.
What do you think? Were you bored with tonight's song choices? Did you have a favorite performance? Email me!
