A Walk in the Country

Country week is always my least favorite, I'm just not a HUGE country fan; Though I love me some Carrie Underwood. And when I heard Dolly Parton was going to be coaching the performances I'll admit I cringed a little. All that being said, I actually enjoyed this week's performances.

It might be easier for me to say who I didn't like versus who I did, as I actually enjoyed most of them. I wasn't a huge fan of Remiele Malubay's performance of 'Do I Ever Cross Your Mind,' and Kristy Lee Cook's version "Coat of Many Colors' left me a little disappointed. What did you think of these performances? Who do you think missed the mark this week? I really think one of these girls will be going home this week.

On the other hand David Cook's version of 'Little Sparrow' and David Archuleta's 'Smoky Mountain Memories' were EXCELLENT! I really think it could come down to David vs. David in the end. Do you think David and David have the golden ticket to make it to the end?

Syesha did 'I Will Always Love You,' a classic Dolly tune made even more popular by Whitney Houston in the 1990s. And somehow I just knew she was going to try it. Every year someone does a Whitney song and most don't do right by the song. Whitney is a hard singer to follow, I don't think I get why people think they can try to take one of her songs on.
