4 FUN THINGS FOR FRIDAY (AND BEYOND!)

It’s summertime and you’ve got nothing to do. How about four tickets to adventure, mystery and excitement? Check out this must-reads at your local library or bookstore.

Watch It: Free Style
Corbin Bleu stars in this new feel-good movie about a guy following his dream to be a part of the Grand National motocross racing team. Madison Pettis also stars as his little sister, supporting him along the way. We haven’t seen Corbin outside of HSM other than Jump In, so if you’re a fan, you don’t want to miss this one! Free Style is in theaters now, but check out the trailer right here.

Read It: Van Alen Legacy (Blue Bloods Series)
The fourth book is finally here: The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz.

In this installment, the Silver Bloods are gaining more power forcing the Blue Bloods into a fight to survive. Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. Only Mimi is happy. All the drama and intrigue continue for the Upper East Side vamps, giving those sparkly rivals of Twilight a run for their money. Check out the other Blue Bloods novels at bluebloodsbooks.com.

Paint It: Cool Nail Designs
Take some time out this weekend for a nice manicure that will show off your unique personality. If you’re bored of the usual French manicures and rainbow colors, try some of these designs courtesy of your favorite celebrities. Seventeen compiled some standout manicures in one helpful slideshow. Check it out right here: http://www.seventeen.com/hair-skin-makeup/special/crazy-nails.

Run It: Race for the Cure
This Sunday, October 11, is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which raises money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. Whether you know someone who is going through this disease, survived it or was hurt by it, everyone should come together to support this wonderful organization. Take some time to participate by either walking or running with a team or on your own. If you can’t make it, you can Sleep for the Cure, which means you pay a registration fee and still support the cause. At the very least, wear pink that day and motivate others to donate some money.
