AQUAMARINE (PG)
Ready to see the best movie of the year? (Well, for our age group anyway) Then walk, no, run, no skip to see Aquamarine – this movie is so much fun on so many levels that I can't say enough about it.

It's based on Alice Hoffman's awesome book (which you should really read if you haven't) and, here's the deal: Emma Roberts and JoJo play Hailey and Claire, lifelong best friends who're facing the agonizing truth that they'll soon be separated (Claire's mom wants to move away).

One day, they're hanging out at their beach club and they find a mermaid in the pool. Turns out that the mermaid (perfectly played by "Darcy's" Sara Paxton) has magical powers and can grant the girls a wish – if they help her get a date with the hunky lifeguard (YUMMY Jake McDorman).

What ensues is funny and sweet and heartfelt and cool and, well, just overall great fun. See this movie! (And let us know what you think.)
