This week on BEEN THERE, we hear from 12-year-old Lauren from Minnesota who tells us all about San Francisco, California!

I used to live near San Francisco in California, and it is an awesome place to go to! There are so many things to do there like go to the dock and take a ferry to Angel Island or the old prison, Alcatraz.

I've been to Alcatraz and there is a gift shop and a tour that takes you inside the cafeteria, jail cells, and even outside on the grounds! You also can have a beautiful view over the water of the Golden Gate Bridge.

You can take a taxi to different shops, restaurants, and other places around the big city. Riding the street cars, going to the zoo are some other fabulous activities you should put on your schedule.

I highly recommend going to San Francisco because it is a fun place to go!!!
