This week on BEEN THERE, 10-year-old Jillian from Connecticut decodes the mystery of Mystic, Connecticut (USA).

One of my favorite places to go is Mystic! There is an aquarium, a seaport, and a small village with little shops!

Mystic Aquarium – This aquarium is so cool! You can see cute Beluga whales, creepy jellyfish and funny penguins, plus a whole lot more. They have seal shows and you can even touch a manta ray! Mystic aquarium has a great gift shop too!

Mystic Seaport – This cute "town" has everything. It even has America's last preserved whaling ship! When I went to Mystic Seaport for a sleepover trip with girl scouts, I got to sleep on that boat in the sleeping quarters! It was really cool. You can go to the pharmacy and other shops and people will actually answer all your questions!

Old Mystic Village – This village is filled with small shops and diners. One of my favorite shops is "It's Raining Cats and Dogs," a store dedicated to cats and dogs! They also have a penny candy store where you can buy to your hearts desire without spending a ton of $$! Mystic is the coolest place ever, so come and visit it soon!
