LE TOUQUET, FRANCE

When People say they're going to France, it's almost
always to go to Paris. But Le Touquet is a great
little tourist town near a place called Boulogne.
You can get there from UK on a ferry, from Dover to
Calais, or just fly straight to Calais from America.
I went there with school and had a blast!
Probably the main attraction at Le Touquet is the
awesome water park, Aqualud (Aqualand). There are
tons of cool slides to go on, including the scary
Black Hole - a personal fave of mine! Or if that's
not your thing, the jacuzzis are heaven.
You wouldn't expect it, but beaches there have the
whitest sands you'll see that far North. It was
always hot and sunny, so the water's great for a
splash in. There is also a skate park on the beach,
not to mention a jungle gym.
We saw 2 factories, one for candy and one for
chocolate. You get to see how they make boiled
sweets, plus try a few samples. The chocolate may be
expensive, but it sure beats Hershey's! You can see
how a cocoa bean turns into the smooth chocolate,
with all the machines involved.
The market is very authentic in Le Touquet. If
you're into antiques, it's definitely the place to
go. There are some really cool crafts and candles.
You can even buy fish, if you really want to! We
went on a quaint little train, called 'Le Petit
Train' which gave us a tour first. One thing you
need to watch out for is pick pockets - but I
wouldn't get hung up about it.
Entertainment rocks around there. You can go Bowling
in Boulogne, or learn how to properly flip a crepe.
There is a sea life centre, where you can see all
sorts like penguins right down to sea lions. There
is also shopping in ginormous supermarkets.
And last, but definitely not least, there is a
French food. Don't worry, we didn't have to eat
frogs legs or snails! Eww! No, we ate bread, cheese,
pate and assorted french cakes. Once we dropped the
different cuisine and had hamburgers! But, we had
them with FRENCH fries.
So, if you wanna have fun with your friends or
family, you should definitely check out Le Touquet,
France. Try looking up PGL tours if you wanna see
the same things |
