THE SIMPLE LIFE IN… LAS
VEGAS?!?
By: Alexandra, 13, MD (aka puppylove2359)
What
do you think of when you hear Las Vegas? Big Lights,
shows, casinos, and a lot more. My dad lives in Las
Vegas and it is more than all that stuff. Yeah sure,
they do have a ton of casinos and you can gamble in
7 Eleven, but that’s not all it is. Did you know Las
Vegas is one of the highest rated school districts
and that their schools are very popular? Vegas has
all the things we have and more. Most of the
communities there are gated, which is nice. Most
people have a pool in their backyard, which I love!
If you like pets, there are many parks with
playgrounds and a dog walking route. If you feel
like shopping they have a ton of malls. But what
about the famous strip, you ask? That is the coolest
part. If you don’t know what the strip is, it is a
long road covered by the biggest and brightest
casinos. Some of the casinos are the Bellagio,
Paris, New York, MGM Grand, Luxor, the Venetian, and
the Aladdin. Every night each of those casinos are
all lit up. The Bellagio has a fantastic watershow
every night and is very pretty inside. It holds the
record for the state with the largest glass
sculpture. You have to see it to believe it. Paris
is very cool too. They have people dressed up like
statues and there is always a breeze in there. You
can also in the dining room in the Eiffel Tower.
Sorry it’s a fake. New York is really neat and has a
roller coaster like the real New York and has a
bridge that you can walk over. MGM Grand is very
nice also. It used to hold Siegfried and Roy’s
famous tigers, but not now. The Luxor is a pyramid
shaped casino. Inside looks like ancient Egypt and
is fun to go to. The Venetian is like Italy. It has
gondola rides that you can go on, just like you were
in Venice. The Aladdin is nice for the kids because
it puts on shows everyday. That’s all about Vegas
that I know and now you do too. |
