CRUISIN' TO A COOL VACATION
This week on BEEN THERE, we hear from 13-year-old Megan from Tennesee (aka fungal) who tells us about her love of all things cruises!
This past week for spring vacation my family13 of uswent on a Carnival cruise. We went to Freeport, Bahamas, Grand Cayman Islands, and Costa Maya, Mexico. I've been on two other cruises. One with Carnival and one with Royal Caribbean. On those cruises I've been to Nassua, Bahamas, the Cayman Islands once before last week, and Ochos Rios, Jamaica.
Cruises are the best because they are like no other vacation. You can go to so many exciting places and do exciting things on cruises. I've been swimming out in the ocean with sting rays. I've been to a turtle farm were they farm turtles and to Hell. Yes that's really the name of a city. It's in the Grand Cayman Islands. There are all these black rocks. A long time ago people came through and saw the rocks and that's what they thought 'hell' would look like. So they named the city that. Just on this past cruise we went on a semi-submarine. We got to see all kinds of fish and two sunken ships.
On cruises they have activities for the kids to do. On Carnival it's called Camp Carnival. They are really fun. They have big shows every night. I like watching the dancers and singers.
I say, if you can…go on a cruise. They are so much fun. You make lots of new friends and meet all kinds of new people. They are the best thing ever. Try one some day!
