When I stepped off the airplane in Bulgaria, I was (for the first time in my life) speechless! From the aiport in Sofia (the capitol of Bulgaria) you could see the beautiful Vitosha Mountain. The country got even better as I started traveling across the country in my aunt's car to Burgas, Bulgaria's 4th largest city, which also happens to be where I was born!

Burgas is a huge city with so much to do and so little time! It is an amazing place on the Black Sea Coast! You can go to one of the many beaches that are covered with beautiful gray sand. If you love shopping, you're in luck! Bulgaria has great stores with many of the same brands we have here for way less! For example: Abercrombie, Calvin Klein, and Louis Vuitton. The food in Bulgaria cannot be compared with any other cuisine in the world! They have any food you can think of and more! But sadly, before long, it was time for me to leave Burgas and go to Blagoevgrad, to visit my grandma.

Blagoevgrad is a city where all the people will treat you with kindness and care. It has all the same stores and food as Burgas (my aunt owns the biggest make-up store in the city!) but there is one major difference. If you go to Blagoevgrad you are trading the Black Sea for loads of mountains! (most of which I have been lucky enough to hike or explore!) My favorite is Rila Mountain, which just enough people roaming to make it not too lonely and not too overcrowded.

So if you're ever not sure where you want to go on vacation why don't you book a plane ticket to Bulgaria! Trust me, you won't regret it!
