NYC: THE BIG APPLE

Have you ever been to New York City and seen the
Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, or Times
Square? Let me tell you what it's like to be a
tourist in New York.
When I went to the Statue of Liberty I couldn't wait
to see one of the nation's landmarks. When I got
there I was astonished to see that Lady Liberty was
huge (she was the biggest lady I have ever seen) and
over time she had turned green like she had the
stomach virus or something. I saw the whole New York
Skyline and my cousin pointed out where the Twin
towers had been. We took lots of pictures and knew
that this memory we would tell our grandkids about.
It was my first time ever on a subway, and I was
lucky I took a shuttle out of GRAND CENTRAL STATION.
I saw why they called it that it was GRAND it was
CENTRAL and it was a STATION. This station had
coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, everything
basically. Out of every stopping station from the
trains and such went into a ballroom type place
where in the middle an information booth with the
world famous clock.
Times Square was everything and more than I
expected, I could have bumped into Beyonce' and
wouldn't know it. This place was packed with people
everywhere you turned people,
people, and more
people. As you look up you could see why there were
so many people there were skyscrapers that seemed
like they could touch the moon! So do the math
millions of people on the ground at lunch time or in
their offices waaaaaaay up there. I saw the MTV
publication station across from Toys "R" Us. I saw
where they shoot Good Morning America.
I had the time of my life and would love to go back
I hope you will be able to see all of New York City
some day … it's awesome. |
