AIRPLANE DO'S AND DON'TS
By: Ayotunde, 11 (aka SuperNova_Gurl)

Traveling by airplane can be totally cool.
Just looking out the window to see the cities,
towns, and countries pass you by can be
enjoyable, but if you don't come prepared the
trip might be a snore.
Usually on long trips it's good to bring a book
or a good magazine. Or you could just watch a
movie. Right before the plane takes flight the
captain might mention some of the movies
available to watch. Or you could just catch some
zs.
Now I don't know about you, but airplane
bathrooms are the worst. They smell bad so you
really don't want to get a seat right next to
one. You might want to ask an airplane attendant
if there are any other seats available. If
you're a person who has to go the bathroom a
lot, then it's better if you get an aisle seat
so you won't have to bother anyone while you're
trying to maneuver your way around them. Also if
you're traveling during daytime, but want to
take a nap, then don't take window seat. The
light might get in your way. But if you're a
person who loves to look out the window during
trips and other journeys (mostly children) then
the window seat is perfect for you.
If you haven't ever tasted airplane food you're
a lucky person. Airplane food isn't exactly
gourmet. It might seem cool when the attendants
are coming around, but it tastes horrible. If
you're hungry then eat it. It's better to have
something in your stomach than nothing at all.
But bring some snacks, like goldfish crackers or
popcorn or even a sandwich or an apple. But
don't pack a buffet though.
When you're on a short trip, like 3 hours max,
it helps to bring something or someone you like.
During short plane trips there's no TV, and they
usually only serve beverages. It's good to bring
something keeps you busy. Like I said a book is
good or even a crossword puzzle or a book of
sudoku. You could bring your music player and
just chill out or take a nap. It's your choice.
When getting off the plane you want to make sure
you don't leave anything valuable or dear to
you, because when the airplane attendants find
things passengers left behind, they throw it
away. After that you're off the plane and at
your destination.
So now you know what to do on the plane, figure
out where to go! |
