where shall we go today?

ONE BILLION PEOPLE CAN’T BE WRONG…

…about the cool country they live in. That’s right, China has many things to offer in terms of great food and lots to see. Here, Miss O Club members bbox24 and missBANG tell us about the sights they saw then they were in China.

China

I have moved many times but my favorite place to live was China. China has a long history and is a great place to visit. My favorite cities were Beijing and Shanghai.

In Beijing you can see places and learn about the history. The Great Wall was used for wars, The Ming Tomb was where kings and queens got buried when they died, The Forbidden City was where the kings and queens lived, The Summer Palace was were the prince went to rest and Tiantan was were people went to pray. How cool is that? These places are so beautiful and are great to learn about history.

Shanghai is a bit more of a city. The Pearl tower and Jin Mao DA Sha are fantastic places to see the view of Shanghai. There are tons of markets to shop at. Everything is so cheap, and the food is so delicious and of course CHEAP! Shanghai has such strange buildings.

If you go to China you will never regret it. Trust Me!

China: The Home of the Chinese
By: Jackie, 11, MD (aka missBANG)
China is filled with wonderful smells of traditional Chinese food. Not orange chicken, or general tsao’s chicken, but delicious duck and stir-fried vegetables. Besides the wonderful foods, China is the home of many other famous things. It would take a whole month just to visit some famous places. Perhaps the most famous attraction is the Great Wall of China itself. Being the only man-made thing seen from outer space, the Great Wall protected soldiers during the Warring States Period. Emperor Qin, in 221-206 B.C. Another wonderful masterpiece constructed by Emperor Qin, are the terra-cotta warriors. They were discovered in March of 1974 by local farmers, amazing isn’t it? It is believed to have taken 38 years just to build the army. Oh right, the terra-cotta soldiers were built right on top of Emperor Qin’s tomb. The odd thing is, each warrior and horse, all the thousands of them, have a different facial expression and look. None are the same. Besides these two historical sites, there is much more to China. There are many Buddhist temples too! After a while though, they get kind of boring especially if you are me and you have gone to just about a billion of the temples. I suggest eating all the food and delicacies there are and then, go sight seeing! Surely, you will bring home memories and souvenirs from your trip. The only difference with me is that I stayed at my grandparent’s house the whole entire time!
