TRAVEL REVIEW: HOLLAND
Holland or the Netherlands is a great place to visit that offers a new and exciting culture. Amsterdam is the capitol of Holland and has many museums such as the Rijks Museum and a museum of Vincent van Gogh's work. Another really cool place to visit is the Anne Frank House, where her diary was written and her and her family lived while hiding out from the Nazi's in Germany.
During the spring in the west of Holland, there are amazing tulip fields called Keukemhos that go for miles in bright colors like purple, yellow pink and orange. Speaking of Orange, Holland's national color is bright Orange and the royal family's last name is van Oranje. The weather isn't always sunny in Holland, but when it is, make sure that you check out the beach, especially the one called Schevening.
Soccer and Field Hockey are two huge sports and are played by many, so if you can, try and get tickets to a soccer or field hockey match. Unlike in the U.S., field hockey is a huge sport for boys, maybe even bigger than for girls!
For kids, biking is the way that everyone gets around, and when you're older, you get around by mopeds. If you ever plan on visiting Holland, see the box to the right for some phrases that might just help you…
