TRAVEL REVIEW: The Bahamas

The Bahamas is probably one of the most beautiful tropical islands. There are over 700 different islands that make up the Bahamas but around 40 of them are inhabited. There are also over 2,000 cays, which means that the land is too small to be considered an island.

The government of the Bahamas is very helpful towards its people in times of disaster. During hurricanes, they help the Bahamian people so much after giving out food stamps, putting them up in houses if their homes got destroyed, and even paying for some of their bills.

The government is looked over and influenced by Christianity and most of the people in the Bahamas are very religious. Families are also very large and having four kids is the smallest number. Imagine living with 8 other siblings in your house, things tend to get really crowded and packed!! But families are usually very close and the children are brought up to be very polite, even to people that they don't like.

The main source of income for Bahamian people is tourism, so they thrive on people visiting their island because that is how they make their money. The people are so friendly and always have a smile on their face. If you visit there, you could get your hair braided, do all sorts of activities such as banana boating, jet skiing, snorkeling, and swimming with the dolphins. Also, there are so many cute little shops that sell things like puca shells, straw bags and sundresses! The Bahamas is an amazing and incredible place to go.
