About the Author: Kelsey is a twelve-year-old aspiring writer. She loves her family, her friends and her vacations to Maine. Kelsey's best friend is her older sister Katie, a high school senior. When Katie goes to college next year, Kelsey hopes to fill the void with a Bichon puppy (or at least dream about one). When she is not in school or at her computer writing, Kelsey plays volleyball, basketball, and swims. She plays the flute and she loves to sing. Kelsey is excited about being published; she plans to continue creating stories and poems for a very long time.
My Favorite Book of All Time Is…. The Westing Game
I like to write because… Writing helps Kelsey express her feelings. She likes to use her creativity to develop characters, stories and settings that transport her to different places and times. She enjoys writing realistic fiction most, but is also happy to write poetry. She knows that writing is a craft that takes practice and time. She plans to learn all she can so that her work continues to entertain and inspire others.
