About the Author: Erin loves to dance, write, act, and especially to sing. She's written many stories on her computer and is very excited to have her work published. She loves hanging out with her friends and twin sister. She entered the Kids Are Authors competition in 2002 and another contest in 2005. She is in eighth grade and is involved in the school play, Talent Show, and Awards Assembly. She found Miss O and Friends in Girls' Life Magazine and loves going there under the name futurestargrl76. She also loves music and reading magazines.
My Favorite Book of All Time Is…. "The Creek" By Jennifer L. Holm
I like to write because… I love writing about real girls (in the past OR present) and their lives and what's going on. I really like reading about famous girls because I want to be famous someday. I have the story in the Miss O and Friends and one I wrote called, "Hello, I'm: A Rock Star's Daughter." I love to write because it gives me the chance to live another life through typing!
Excerpt from her story...
Cassidy was about to explain about the lavish waterfall flowing into her pool when she realized the whole English class was laughing at her. She felt herself turn red. Even Mrs. Lindstrom was laughing!
"Miss Jenkens, how about this? You write a realistic essay and turn it in tomorrow," the teacher said. Cassidy was humiliated as she sulked to her desk and slumped in her seat.
