What I'd look like
if I were a Miss O Girl...
About the Author: Ashley is a very bright and likeable person. As a child, she loved to be read to, so she has always been a person who loved books. Ashley is a good student and does very well academically. She was on the cheerleading squad for two years. Ashley was a member of the Beta Club and was just recently recognized by the National Honor Society. Ashley also attends Second Presbyterian Church where she is a member of the youth choir.

My Favorite Book of All Time Is…. A Ring of Endless Light

I like to write because… As a child Ashley was read to and she grew to love books.

Excerpt from her story...
I couldn't believe it. School was finally over! It was the end of my eighth-grade year, and to celebrate I was having a few friends sleep over. The time I had a sleepover, I'd played a bunch of practical jokes on my friends that they didn't really like, so it took a lot of coaxing to get them to agree to come…and a little lying.

I was on the phone with my best friend, Stacey. "Stacey, you gotta come. Pleeaase?"

"Not after all the stupid jokes you pulled last time," she said. At the last sleepover, I put purple (the color she hates most) hair dye in her shampoo. Hey, she's my best friend; I had to save my best joke for her.
