About the Author: Nesima is fifteen years old in the ninth grade and has been writing for as long as she can remember. She has dozens of potential stories and poems sitting in her room that she loves to work on whenever she has time. Nesima is an avid reader and looks to authors such as J.K. Rowling, Meg Cabot, Louis Sachar, Ann Brashares, Libba Bray as role models. She loves piano, music, baking, shopping and being with friends and family. Nesima hopes to be an accomplished teen author and later, a journalist or psychologist.
My Favorite Book of All Time Is…. Nesima has no one favorite book.
I like to write because… She loves to write stories because it's a way to always hold on to your youth and have fun by yourself.
Excerpt from her story...
"My wonderful parents decided to go behind my back and put me in some academy school that's smarter than Dakota," Nicole grumbled.
"No way! Is it that Great Minds one? Yeah, my mom wanted to put me there but I refused, so I'm still going to Dakota. Why don't you tell her you don't want to?" Keisha asked.
"I tried, but it's no use. Both my parents think it's a good idea."
"Awww. Well I'll call Maggie and we'll think of something, don't worry. Call you later, okay? Love ya!" Keisha exclaimed.
"All right, see ya," Nicole said and hung up.
