Lots of tourists enjoy pleasure cruises around breathtaking Victoria Harbor on traditional Chinese "junk" boats, or ride to the top of Victoria Peak on a tramway to get a bird's eye view of the harbor. Others take in a day at the horse races—one of the cities most popular sporting events—while many come for the incredible shopping in both modern malls and conventional open air street markets. Hong Kong is a rare treat because it fuses Eastern and Western cultures and allows old and new things to live side by side – a very cool (and tolerant) way of being.
