An organization that causes awareness in Maldives about global warming and setting an example to other countries to reduce the amount of CO2 in the air is known as the 350.

The world’s first underwater cabinet meeting was held in Maldives. This event was covered by many channels of the world. Children and adults of the swimming association swam to 350 meters. Also 400 divers spent 24 hours under water. While underwater, they painted, played drama’s, played music and even had a disco!

All of these activities were being carried out to make people aware of global warming. If global warming continues, low level lands will sink and due to this many people that live on those lands will die.

Maldives is also a low level country. It contains many islands and is in the Indian Ocean. Maldives rises only few meters above sea level and scientists thinks that we are the first to perish due to global warming.

I am only eleven and I am a Maldivian girl. My friends and I are trying to make a difference in this world. So I hope that you all would join hands with us and try to stop global warming!! <3
