INTERVIEW: Victoria Justice

Victoria Justice

Victoria Justice is one celeb who is definitely ‘making it shine’! She can act, sing and dance like a star, and she showcases her talents on ‘Victorious’, her own Nickelodeon TV show. Get to know the ‘spectacular’ Victoria Justice!

Full Name: Victoria Dawn Justice
Birthday:
February 19th, 1993
Hometown:
Hollywood, Florida

What is your favorite thing about being an actress?
Victoria: My number one favorite thing about my job is the fact that I get to make so many new friends and meet so many new people. It’s amazing when I have fans come up to me and say that they love me on the show and I’ve inspired them to start acting too. I love meeting my fans, it makes me really proud and happy.

What is ‘Victorious’ about?
Victoria: I play a girl named Tori Vega who goes to a performing arts high school. It’s about her learning how to sing and dance and act and discovering her passions. Its not about someone trying to be famous, it’s about someone trying to become a better person and learn more about themselves.

What is it on the set of ‘Victorious’?
Victoria: It’s been crazy! I’ve been working fifteen-sixteen hour days. I feel so lucky because I have the best job in the world. There’s never a dull moment, I’m always so happy to be on set and I get to sing awesome music.

How did you begin your career?
Victoria: I started out in Hollywood, Florida when I was eight years old. I was modeling and doing commercials. I was watching TV one day and there was some commercial with a kid my age and I said “Mom, mom, mom, mom!” and she came running in and I said “I wanna do that!” I moved out to California when I was eleven. I booked a series regular role on a show called ‘Zoey 101’. That was my start, now I have my own show.

What was it like being transformed into a werewolf in your movie ‘The Boy Who Cried Werewolf’?
Victoria: That was an interesting experience. I’ve never had that much hair and it was a little weird. The prosthetics were amazing. It was done by the same guys that did ‘Chronicles of Narnia’. It was really fun.

Who inspires you?
Victoria: My mom. My mom is really nice and super positive and optimistic. She always keeps me in a good mood and always keeps me going. My mom is pretty awesome.

Are you involved with any charities?
Victoria: The United Nations started this organization called Girl Up and I recently became a champion for that. It’s such an amazing cause. Its about empowering girls here in the US to help out our sisters in developing countries because they don’t have clean water, they don’t have any opportunity to have an education, there’s violence issues going on. There’s so many things we can do to help them. It’s devastating; I’ve seen videos of these girls just sobbing because they just want an education so bad. We have these opportunities and they don’t have nay of them and I just want to do as much as I can and spread the word to help them out.
