INTERVIEW:
Miley Cyrus

|
| Miley Cyrus |
Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed! She has broken away
from the security of her Disney image and is in the
process of reinventing herself (quite successfully!)
as a risk taking pop/rock diva. She is facing
challenges in her personal life as well, dealing
with her parents’ split and her own ‘are they or
aren’t they’ romantic life. Get to know Miley Cyrus,
the biggest teen star of the decade.
Full Name: Miley Ray Cyrus
Birthday: November 23rd, 1992
Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee
Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Cookie Dough
Favorite Shoes: Converse
Favorite Movie: ‘Steel Magnolias’
Fun Fact: Miley has said that it is her dream
to release a country album!
Are you more sad or excited that ‘Hannah Montana’
ended?
Miley: It’s bittersweet because it is such a
security blanket for me, so comfortable. After I go
off and do something, eighty shows on tour or a
movie or something, I got to go back to ‘Hannah
Montana’. It’s easy for me, like a rhythm that I
know really well. It’s so easy for me; not having it
makes me a little worried.
Tell us about your “Miley Max” fashion line for
Walmart?
Miley: We look at what I wear, and then we
try to make it for sixteen dollars. Let’s say I’m
wearing shoulder pads on the red carpet; we’ll do
that. It’s nothing you’ve ever seen in Walmart
before!
What do you have to say to people who say you are
a bad role model?
Miley: My job is to be a role model, and
that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a
parent. My job isn’t to tell kids how to act or how
not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for
myself. So to take that away from me is a bit
selfish. Kids are going to make mistakes whether I
do or not. That’s life.
What advice would you give another up and coming
singer?
Miley: I would tell someone make sure you
really know who you are before you start going into
an industry because if you’re not strong, they’ll
make you who they want you to be. People say “I
wanna be a pop/rock singer”, “I wanna be R&B”. Know
that one hundred percent before you make your first
record. |
