Childhood
Logan Wade Lerman was born on January 19th, 1992 in
Beverly Hills, California. He has two siblings,
Lindsey and Lucas. His dad has an orthodics business
and his mom is his manager.
Logan seemed destined to be an actor from the time
he was born. “I’m from Los Angeles and it was
accessible.” he says. “There’s always a place to
wait in line for an audition and I kind of begged my
parents to take me. My mom nurtured my career and
helped me climb the ladder. I have had a passion for
movies from a young age. I first got interested in
acting when I was probably four or five.”
Like many young actors, he began in commercials and
worked his way up to more substantial roles. At age
8 he landed the plum role as Mel Gibson’s youngest
son William in the revolutionary war drama, ‘The
Patriot’.
Other film work followed. He has appeared in movies
including ‘What Women Want’, ‘Hoot’ and ‘Gamer’, to
name a few.
In 2004, Logan landed the role of dorky future
president Bobby McCallister in the critically
acclaimed WB television series ‘Jack and Bobby’. The
role won Logan his first Young Artist Award.
“[Portraying a geek is] fun. I’m not the kind of guy
kids picked on in school, but I’ve seen it happen.
I’ve never really given much thought to being cool.
I don’t really think about it one way or the other.”
The WB network decided not to renew ‘Jack and Bobby’
for a second season, but Logan’s star was on the
rise. The role that would make Logan a household
name, Percy in the blockbuster movie ‘Percy Jackson
and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief’ was soon to
come his way!
