INTERVIEW: JoJo

JoJo
Our friends at Teenmag.com hooked us up with this short Q&A with JoJo – star of the hot new movie AQUAMARINE. Here's what the popster-turned-actress has to say…

What was it like swimming with the dolphins in the film?
I was so frightened! I'm kind of afraid of everything to be honest with you as far as animals and sea creatures. All of the girls were like, "Oh, its going to be so much fun!" I was over in the corner crying. But it was okay and looking back on it I shouldn't have been afraid because it was an experience that not a lot of people get to have.

What was it like filming in Australia?
It was lovely. We were in Queensland, which is on the east coast of Australia. I didn't see much more of it than that. We didn't get to go to Sydney. The girls were great and it was summer and everybody with the beautiful accents and the interesting foods. It was really a once in a lifetime experience.

What was it like the first time you met Emma and Sarah? Did you bond right away?
We did bond right away! It was really instantaneous. Me and Emma had met before because she has her show Unfabulous and I was hosting something for Nickelodeon. She came over and introduced herself and we exchanged numbers and talked. Then a few months later we found out that we both has the roles in Aquamarine. Then we had a 20-hour flight together to Australia so we bonded very closely for that time! And then we met Sarah afterwards and we just really hit it off. It was great because spending three months with people ? you either love them or you hate them. Thank God we loved each other.

What did you do off the set?
Every weekend when we had our days of we'd go shopping. We were also right across the street from the beach and we made friends from locals and met a lot of different people.
