Fifteen year old Jake T. Austin is one of the
busiest young talents in Hollywood. Playing
mischievous little brother Max Russo on the Disney
Channel’s ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, staring
alongside Emma Roberts in 2009’s ‘Hotel for Dogs’
and lending his distinctive voice to the character
Diego in ‘Go Diego Go!’ are just a few of this teen

Beginnings
Jake Toranzo Szymanski was born on December 3rd 1994
in New York City to proud parents Giny and Joey
Szymanski. He is part Polish, Irish and English from
his dad and part Argentinean, Puerto Rican and
Spanish from his mom. He has one younger sibling, a
sister named Ava.
Jake began his acting career in 2001, when he was
only 7 years old. In his early career, he appeared
on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ and lent his
voice to the animated movies ‘The Ant Bully’ and
‘Everyone’s Hero’.
Jake attends public school when he is home and his
school sends work to him when he is away filming. “I
go to public school and I love to write and
everything and I have a lot of friends that I hang
out with whenever I go back. So, when I'm not in
Hollywood, I'm just a normal kid.” he shares.
His family owns a historic restaurant called ‘The
Clarksville Inn’. The restaurant, located in West
Nyack, New York, originally opened in 1840 as a
hotel. Jake and his Disney Channel friends make sure
to visit whenever they are in New York. The walls
are lined with autographed photos of Jake and his
co-stars. “It’s amazing how many people come in just
to look at the pictures” says Jake.
