Kendall (with the hat):
Full Name: Kendall Francis Schmidt
Birthday: November 2nd 1990

Fun Fact: Kendall’s band mates Logan, James and Carlos confessed that he was the shyest member of Big Time Rush!

Kendall was born on November 2nd 1990 in Wichita, Kansas. He has two older brothers, Kenneth and Kevin (who had a role in the movie ‘Princess Protection Program’ alongside Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato). Kendall’s first role was in a commercial for Chex when he was six years old.

When Kendall was ten, he got the opportunity to work alongside famous movie director Steven Spielberg playing Hayley Joel Osment’s body double in ‘A.I. Artificial Intelligence’. Kendall celebrated his birthday while filming, and the cast and crew surprised him with a ‘Star Wars’ cake.

Besides Big Time Rush, Kendall is also in a band called Heffron Drive. He formed the band in 2008 with his friend Dustin Belt. The band is named after the street in California where Kendall and Dustin met. They describe their sound as alternative/pop/techno and you can hear their music on MySpace and Pure Volume.

Carlos was born on August 15th, 1989. He was born in Columbia, Missouri but moved to Weston, Florida as a toddler. Carlos began acting when he was 14 years old. He had roles in local theatre productions of ‘Grease’ and ‘Man of La Mancha’ before moving onto guest starring roles on hit TV shows like ‘ER’, ‘Judging Amy’ and ‘Summerland’.

In 2007, Carlos left his beloved Florida and traveled to California to compete on the MTV television series ‘Making Menudo’. He was one of fifteen finalists who were trying to get a spot in a Latin American boy band named Menudo. Unfortunately, Carlos didn’t make it into the band.

After ‘Making Menudo’, Carlos traveled back home. He graduated from high school and began taking music classes at the Boston Conservatory. One day, Carlos received a phone call from his manager urging him to audition for a new Nickelodeon show called ‘Big Time Rush’. He sent in a tape and the rest is history!

James (top middle):
Full Name: James David Marslow
Birthday: July 16th 1990

James was born in New York City on July 16th 1990. Shortly after, his family moved across the country to La Jolla, California, a suburb of San Diego.

James didn’t always want to be a singer. He was actually unhappy when his parents first signed him up for a children’s choir! But as time went on, James realized just how much he loved singing. He began auditioning for roles in local musical theatre productions. He played Danny in ‘Grease’ and Maurius in ‘Les Miserables’. James even got the chance to perform with the San Diego Opera when he landed a bit part in the show ‘La Boheme’.

James first caught the eye of executives at Nickelodeon when he guest starred on ‘iCarly’. He played Shane, the guy that both Carly and Sam were crushing on in the episode ‘iSaw Him First’. The executives saw star potential in James, and they asked him to audition for ‘Big Time Rush’. James agreed, and he landed the role of James Diamond shortly after!

Logan (right):
Full Name: Logan Phillip Henderson
Birthday: September 14th, 1989

Fun Fact: Logan was described as the major flirt of Big Time Rush!

Logan was born on September 14th 1990 in North Richland Hills, a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas.

Logan knew his future would be in acting at age sixteen. He began taking acting classes in North Texas with two very talented girls you may have heard of, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato! Logan began auditioning in LA and in 2008, he appeared as a bully in the TV show ‘Friday Night Lights’.

When Logan was eighteen, he made the painful decision to leave Texas and move to Los Angeles full time to pursue his career. One audition that caught his attention was for a new Nickelodeon show to be called ‘Big Time Rush’. Logan went on callbacks for two years before he finally landed the role of studious Logan Henderson. It was well worth the wait, Logan!
