JOURNALISM
By:  Veronica, 11, CT (aka sweetluv123)

I’ve always wanted to be a journalist, you know why? Because they get to use their writing to make people better and happier plus writing is what I’m good at. It’s true that anyone can make a story, but if you want a story that someone will really fall in love with then you should read the rest of this article.

Booooringgggg allllerrrt!!! What a boring start who really tells someone to read the rest of the article?? Now if you want a REAL article let’s start from scratch.

Ugh, ugh...UGH! Do you read articles that are soooo boring you want to fall asleep? Well the people that wrote it thought it was probably really good but do you want to write an article so someone won’t have to bring a sleeping bag with them? Ok then this is the right place!

What people want:

  • Not too much description but you just have to have some...
  • Vivid verbs (like: crept, peeked, pondered)
  • Humor (but don’t act silly)
  • Try to take little clues to show what your point is and then in the end write your point

Extra Extra read all about it!:

  • If you want to know what’s hot and what’s not look at what people have already written
  • Don’t ever have negative words in your writing!
  • Read the local newspaper once in a while and what do they write about?

Ok that’s about all I got. But once you get good do your own tips page!
