HOW TO TAKE OUT TANGLES
By: luvmyandyb123, 13

Although everybody gets tangles and knows how painful they can be, everybody lets their hair go for a little while. Then, when you go looking for tips how to take tangles OUT of your hair, all you can find is tips to help it stay tangle-free. Well, I have a head of thick, curly, long hair, and I know how horrible it is to take knots out, so here are some tips to get them out:

  1. First, get some conditioner, and put a little in your hair. This will help you get the knots out.
  2. Next, take a small sstrip of your hair and put it in your hand.
  3. Now, starting from bottom to top, brush it in little pieces. The tap to making it not so painful is to hold your hair tightly above where you are brushing. That way, you won’t feel it tugging on your scalp.
  4. Go around your whole head. The more time you take, the less pain it will be, so do it while you are watching t.v. Depending on how long and knotty your hair is, is will probably take you about 15 minutes or less or more. Also, your hand might start to hurt from being held up so long. Just rest it for a few seconds, and keep on going again. When you are done with a lot of hair, put it in a hair elastic so it doesn’t get knotty again!
  5. After you are done, take the hair elastic out and brush all of your hair together.
  6. Go take a nice shower after- between the conditioner in you hair and the frizz (especially if you have curly hair), you won’t want to leave the house like that!
  7. If you do this at night, either blowdry your hair (don’t do that all of the time or else it will dry out your hair), or put your hair in a nice ponytail or braid, so that it doesn’t get knotty again. But you should wash your hair much earlier before you go to sleep for other reasons.

\I hope that your hair will stay knot-free by using these tips!
