Keeping Old Friends and Making New Friends
By: Hannah, 12 (aka: nanners345)

If you want to make new friends and stay close to old ones, here are some things you can do.

  1. You can ask them to sit at your lunch table. The best thing someone wants to hear and know is that they have a place to sit at in lunch.

  2. If you see someone that you think looks nice, say an icebreaker, like a corny joke or a compliment. It will help you a lot.

  3. If you do happen to see a girl and she is rude to you, don’t bother, she probably has her own friends, and you’ll be better off not knowing her. Wherever there’s a mean one, there’s drama!!

  4. Always try to make friends in your class or classes. You’ll have someone to sit next to, and someone to talk to and walk through the halls.

  5. Try to have a big group of friends, that way you’ll always know someone and if you want a break from a couple you will always have a bunch more to get closer to.

  6. Don’t forget about your old friends! Make sure to spend your time evenly between old and new friends otherwise your old friends may feel that you don’t care about them anymore.
