FRIEND SURVIVAL GUIDE
By: Kari, 11 (aka karikaylee)

Hey, girlies!

If friends are giving you a hard time or they feel really hurt or confused this will help!

  1. Making Friends
    A. Don’t be afraid to walk up to them and say "Hi!" or "Do you want to be friends?" Even if it’s your crush

    B. If she shrugs and has a straight face don’t be offended, they’re probably confused or in a tuff spot. But find a way to make them feel better like watching a movie at your house! Or make crafts! And once she feels like she can trust you maybe she tell you what’s wrong. (But if she says "I can’t tell you!" or "You wouldn’t understand!" then change the subject and don’t bring it up until she tells you!)

    C. And don’t expect her/him to want to be your friend. If they don’t want to just shrug and talk to someone else. Maybe she/he will ask you later

    D. And if they act crazy, might get you in trouble, or might be a bad influence don’t bother them. Just talk to the people who are lonely or act nice you can hang out with them!

  2. Keeping Friends
    A. Sometimes when you have a BIG fight or even a little one with your friend you feel like it’s over, but remember what you’re fighting over. Favorite band? Favorite song? Same crush? Why are these things more important than your friendship? If you both have a crush on Nick Jonas would that stop you from having friends? No. It would not. But this is my opinion. You can fight over Demi Lovato being a better singer than Miley Cyrus. That’s your decision.

    B. Don’t be scared to have a opinion. It’s not fair if your friend can speak up and you can’t! Speak up!

  3. Hard to deal with friends and how to deal
    A. If your friend is asking you something that is personal or is a family secret, you don’t have to say anything!

    B. Ignore this person and if that doesn’t work talk to your parents and ask to get together with this person’s parents. Tell the parents that it’s something that is a secret and that you don’t feel comfortable with talking to her about it. The parents should understand.

That’s it for right now, girls! I hope these fit your standards and if not talk to an adult.
