CRUSHES: WHAT DO YOU DO

crushes
We all have them…crushes. Knowing how to deal with them can be frustrating and confusing. Below, 14-year-old Ashley Marie from Ohio (aka hellokittyluv91) provides her tips that might help with your next flame!

"Oh no he's walking past me" – When most girls run into their crush in the hallway, they get nervous or say the wrong thing, and feel bad about themselves. Well, I've done that many times before, but now I've learned something really good: It doesn't matter what people think. I know everyone knows that. And I did too. But I always told other people that, but never applied that to myself. Not caring about impressing him may actually impress him that you're so comfortable around him.

"He likes me, but he has a girlfriend" – This has happened to me before too. If he doesn't like you enough to let go of his girlfriend, then he's not even worth the time.

"My friend likes him too" – This is very hard. But I have 2 solutions. If she's your true blue friend, then tell her and you two can like him together. If that doesn't work, or your friend gets mad, then question whether she's really your friend, or will turn on you for a boy.

"I don't know how to tell him" – This is the hardest part about being a girl. Normally guys walk up to girls. So it's extra hard for a girl to walk up to a guy. I guess the only thing you need is confidence and a really cute outfit. Don't get your friends to do it, or write a note. From my experiences, those things almost never work. A little confidence, and a whole lot of faith will get you there and through.

"I don't want to ruin our friendship" – I don't want to ruin my friendship with my friend of 3 years. But most relationships start off with being best friends. So it's best to follow your heart because you'll have friendship to fall back on. But this doesn't work all of the time. My friend David and I were friends for 5 years. I had to tell him I liked him, and when I did he didn't like me that way. We haven't been the same friends since.
