CHOOSING A CAT

Thinking about getting a cat? Have a look at this checklist sent in by Miss O friend "Is" before you commit…

Kittens are totally sweet, but they are not easy to keep… Are you willing to take the challenge of getting a cat? Cats are not just cuddly balls of fluff; they have a life just like we do! First of all, before you get a cat, you must be prepared! Cats can cause chaos if they are not treated well! Pose these questions to yourself:

CAN YOU:
a) Afford the cat's weekly food bill?
b) Be at home at least part of the day every day?
c) Afford toys and a litter tray for your cat?
d) Afford a cat sitter while you are on holiday?
e) Play with your cat every day?
f) Feed your cat every day?
g) Clean your cat's litter box?

CHOOSING A CAT > Your Cat's Needs

CHOOSING A CAT
Choosing your cat is quite easy, but you must remember that if you get a longhaired kind, you have to groom him every day to avoid a matted coat.

If you live on a busy main road, it would not be very sensible to get a cat. Cars kill cats frequently. Some cats are quite happy in an apartment, but most would prefer to roam outside. If your cat has no way of getting outside, you need to give him/her lots more attention.
