10 Tips for Surviving School
By: Stacey, 39 (aka: st8cfab)

Here are 10 tips for surviving school. Hope they help!

  1. Do your homework right when you get home from school. You’ll get it done quicker and have more free time.

  2. When doing math homework, try not to use a calculator. Check your problems on paper. You’ll actually learn more this way!

  3. If you don’t understand a topic, ask your teacher for some help. I’m sure they’ll want to help you if you ask!

  4. If your school offers a tutoring program, go to tutoring! It will help you practice and understand the topic better, and your teacher(s) will see that you really care about your education!

  5. Double check your work. This doesn’t just apply to tests- check your class and homework too!

  6. When taking a test, don’t rush! Take it slowly, one problem at a time, and check your work. You’ll get a much better grade!

  7. Don’t be afraid to raise your hand in class! Even if you’re shy, raising your hand and answering questions is a great way to practice what you know!

  8. Participate in after school activities! It’s a great way to make new friends and explore your interests!

  9. Be willing to learn! Participate in class and really care about your education. It will motivate you to learn!

  10. Make friends! Branch out and make new friends! The more the merrier!
