"I used to have long hair, but then I cut it to maybe a few inches past my shoulders. My hair is dark brown with blonde-ish highlight that are on 2 locks of hair close to my face. My hair is really static-y, even when it was longer! Now since it is shorter it is even more static-y. After a brush my hair it becomes static-y and then it looks weird. I have to run my hands through my hair a lot to get it non static-y. I don't know what sort of styles I could do with my hair not using heat (it would make it worse). Any ideas? "

"first of all. i have that same hair ( two inches above my shoulders dark brown kinda blondish highlights ) first, use hair gel or hair spray and spray your hair different cute ways. what i do is use clips and bobby pins and stuff to pin it up. and for the static-y part just put water on ur brush before brushing :)

"My hair does the EXACT same thing! It's okay to use heat; just spray on some heat protectant! I reccomend the Herbal Essences "Set Me Up" heat protectant!! It smells really good, too! For the static, try wetting your brush before you brush your hair, then brush it! If you don't want it wet after you brush it, then blowdry it on medium heat but have the hairdryer pointed at the roots of your hair, if that makes sense. If you decide not to do that, just take a squirt of lotion, rub it into your hands a little and then rub it into your hair. Try not to rub it into your hair's roots, because then it will look greasy and we don't want that! Hope this helps!

"Try changing your shampoo to help with the static also try wetting it with water when you don't take a bath or shower."
