"I would write an actual answer but I can't since this question's been archived. A ducks quack actually does echo. The mythbusters tested that and found that how that started was the quack itself sounds like an echo, so people are hearing the echo, but think they're still hearing the quack. So, yeah, a ducks quack does echo, it's just really hard to hear."
