MUSIC
LOVER ROOM
By: Kirsty, 13 (aka kagome_x)
If
you love music then a room to show it would be great
for you! It includes having to buy a few things and
adult to help but it’s worth it!
One of the things to do is make a pretty CD mobile
sort of thing. First, look through all your CDs,
albums as well as singles. Sort them into two piles
- ones that you don’t think you will ever play
again, and ones you think you will play again. Put
the ones you will play again back where they belong
and then take the CD’s you won’t play again from
their cases. Using all purpose glue, put 4 small
splotches of glue - one at the top, bottom and each
side - on the side of the CD that has the picture on
it. Only do this on half of the CDs. With some
pretty thin ribbon lay it through the middle of all
the CDs with glue on leaving a centimeter gap
in-between the end of the ribbon and the edge of the
CD at the bottom of the line. Also there should be
enough ribbon at the top of the line of CDs to make
a knot. Then, put one CD over another - picture down
- and leave to dry. Then hang up on the end of a
curtain rail or somewhere along a wall and enjoy the
pretty colors CDs make.
With the empty CD cases, use them as frames for
pictures of you and your friends or your favorite
bands/singers. Blu Tak them around your room so
wherever you look you can remember happy moments
with friends or see your favorite musicians smiling
at you or enjoying a concert.
Play an instrument? Don’t hide it in a cupboard or
under your bed! Buy it a stand and show it off,
Guitars are great for filling empty corners ad I’m
sure other instruments can do that too. Or you can
put your drum sticks on the wall and spare symbols
propped up on shelves.
Buy some music magazines and cut out pictures of
bands/singers you like and make a collage, also if
you’ve been to a concert before print off pictures
you took and photocopy the tickets to make a collage
just about that! Also in the magazine there will be
posters of bands, if there isn’t any you like then
you can go look at the posters in stores. Posters
from stores are usually really big too.
Lastly, cut out musical note shapes from black (or
lots of different colours) card, quite big so they
stand out, and Blu Tak them all over your walls and
furniture.
Everything is easy and quick so it’s great really!
Have fun!
Also if you aren’t that big on music then change
some of the things to something else, instead of CDs
you could use flowers cut from card! Also stars
instead of musical notes would look really pretty!
