MAKE YOUR OWN CANDLE
By: Prelsy, 10 (AKA pdawg98)

Before you even think about doing this...MAKE SURE AN ADULT HELPS YOU AT ALL TIMES!

Want to make your own candles? All you have to do is buy some wax, and a few other things. HobbyLobby has almost all of the things needed to do this.

YOU NEED: Candle Wax, scent (must be made for candles, not air freshener or any around the house scents!), a wax color block, and wicks. You will also need a METAL wax-pouring pot and a tin.

First turn on the stove to medium. (THE TOP PART WHERE YOU BOIL THINGS, NOT THE PART WHERE YOU OPEN IT UP AND SLIDE THINGS IN!) Then put the wax into the metal wax-pouring pot. Put your metal pot on the stove over the fire. When the wax melts, put in a little tiny piece of your wax color block into the pot. (You will have to use a knife to cut it.) When the liquid turns that color, put in about four drops of your scent.

Then, pour the liquid into the tins. You will need to have the wick super glued to the bottom of the tin first. Or, you can just sit it in there upright and when the liquid wax gets poured, move it back to the center. Then sit them somewhere where they won’t spill and let them harden for about 3 to 4 hours.

Now you have a candle!
