DIY: MAKE YOUR OWN STYLIN’ SHIRT
By: Lauren, 14 (aka fashiondesigner)

Okay, so I was bored one day and decided to spruce up a plain white t-shirt that I had cut the collar off of for a dance number in my school’s fashion show. It came out great!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. A plain white t-shirt
  2. Scissors
  3. A ribbon or head scarf (long enough to fit around your shirt)
  4. Markers (Permanent or fabric)

What to do:

  1. Cut the collar of your shirt. Make sure you cut enough so that you can wear it with one sleeve off your shoulder.
  2. Cut small holes around the top of your shirt (about a centimeter from the top).
  3. Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie the remaining ribbon in the shirt (or outside if you’d like).
  4. Make a pretty design on your shirt with the markers. Make sure they’re permanent!
  5. Flaunt your custom shirt in style!
