DIY: MAKE
YOUR OWN STYLIN’ SHIRT
By: Lauren, 14 (aka fashiondesigner)
Okay, so I was bored one day and decided to spruce
up a plain white t-shirt that I had cut the collar
off of for a dance number in my school’s fashion
show. It came out great!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A plain white t-shirt
- Scissors
- A ribbon or head scarf (long enough to fit
around your shirt)
- Markers (Permanent or fabric)
What to do:
- Cut the collar of your shirt. Make sure you
cut enough so that you can wear it with one
sleeve off your shoulder.
- Cut small holes around the top of your shirt
(about a centimeter from the top).
- Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie
the remaining ribbon in the shirt (or outside if
you’d like).
- Make a pretty design on your shirt with the
markers. Make sure they’re permanent!
- Flaunt your custom shirt in style!
