MAKE YOUR OWN BEADED CURTAIN!
By: Krista, 18, (aka CottonCandyStar)

Have you even seen those nice beaded curtains? You’ve probably seen them in
stores, but maybe you couldn’t find one that fit your style. Here is how to make
your own beaded curtain.
Materials:
- 1 – 1/2 diameter wooden dowel that is long
enough to fit over the top of your door frame
- 1 roll of embroidery floss or beading line
- Lots and lots of assorted beads of your
choice
- Nails
- Hammer
**You may
need an adult to help you nail the dowel above
your door.
What to do:
- Cut enough embroidery floss to hang all
the way down your door way to the floor. Cut
enough of these pieces to tie all the way
across the dowel. An average sized door
frame will take about a 2 or 3 foot long
down and about 15-25 strings depending on
how close together you want your strands of
beads.
- Tie the lengths of embroidery floss to
the dowel so that they hang down. Each
strand should hang down the same length.
- String beads onto the strands. You can
completely fill the strands, or, you can add
beads here and there and tie knots to hold
them in place. When you finish stringing the
beads, tie a box knot at the bottom to hold
the beads on.
- Hammer nails above your door frame.
Place the dowel on these nails above your
door.
ENJOY!!!
