CREATE A STATIONERY SET
by:  AngelCakes, 13

You've seen those stationery sets you can buy at the store, right? The ones with personalized pencils, notecards, paper, and envelopes? Well, I've noticed that a lot of names (including my own) are hard, or even impossible to find stationery for. So, I found a way to make your own stationery. It takes some work, but I'm sure the person you're making it for is important, right? Here's what you'll need:

MATERIALS

  • At least 10 3x5 note cards (you can use more if desired)
  • At least three regular yellow pencils (you can use more if desired)
  • Slim felt tip or permanent markers (many colors)
  • At least 10 pieces of lined paper (you can use more if desired)
  • Puffy felt tip or permanent markers (many colors)
  • At least ten envelopes (any size will do)
  • Stencils (big and small) (homemade are fine)
  • A plastic cup (optional)
  1. First do the pencils. Sharpen them first before you do anything else to them so your friend doesn't have to!
  2. Taking the small stencils and the small markers, carefully trace the letters of the person's name onto the pencils. You can do it once, or several times all the way around the pencil.
  3. Repeat steps one and two until each pencil is finished.
  4. Next do the paper. On each sheet with the small letters carefully trace "From the desk of" in the top left hand corner.
  5. Then, using the big markers and stencils, write the person's name in the big white space before the lines. Make sure it's colorful!
  6. Repeat steps four and five until each piece of paper is finished.
  7. Next, do the note cards. On the plain white side of the card, repeat steps five and six, leaving the lined side completely blank.
  8. Repeat until each card is finished.
  9. Lastly, do the envelopes. Find the person's address and print it neatly with easy-to-read colors in the upper left-hand corner of the envelope for the return address.
  10. You may even want to stick a stamp on each of the envelopes to be super nice!
  11. Repeat until each envelope is finished.
  12. To prepare your gift to give away, stack and wrap the paper, note cards, and envelopes neatly. You may want to put the papers, note cards, and envelopes in a box so they don't get crinkled.
  13. If you want, you can put the pencils in a plastic cup and decorate it with the stencils and markers.
  14. Ta-da! You have a stationery set, great for giving to friends and family as birthday or holiday presents!
