By: Labiba, 11, (aka r-tistgrl)
Want
to buy a fancy bulletin board but don’t have the
money?! Or do you want to make your own, but the
supplies are too expensive? Then here is your chance
to make something that will last long, be useful,
and look beautiful!
TIME USED: 5-10 minutes
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- lid of a shoebox
- scarf that can cover lid of shoebox
- another scarf or 2 for stuffing
- ribbon/bead strings (2-3)
- stapler
STEPS:
- Take the lid of a shoebox and lay it down on
the front side. Take the stuffing scarf(s) and
fold them up any size up on top of the lid.
- Staple in place.
- Place the covering scarf on top covering the
whole thing.
- Flip over and staple the covering scarf into
place and securing it tightly.
- Add extra staples wherever needed to hold
extra securely.
- Take a length of ribbon (same size as the
width of the shoebox lid) and place it across
the shoebox lid. Place is anywhere, anyhow,
sideways or vertically, horizontally. Staple it
all in place, on the sides. Add one or two more
ribbons. Staple down the center.
HOW TO USE:
Use pins to pin on pictures and notices on the
board. The ribbon adds flair and it looks great. It
also can be used as tucking pictures, pens and
notices using the ribbon. That is why we only
stapled down the middle and sides.
TO HANG UP:
Use two or three pins and pin them straight on
the wall, and then hang it up. Have it measured up
to match the bulletin board’s width so it fits on.
Enjoy your new and awesome bulletin board!! |
