"I have always wanted to work with special needs kids. That means kids who were born with Down syndrome, autism, etc. I would like to make their lives better by being either an occupational therapist or a speech therapist! I first realized this is what I wanted to do when I went with my brother, Wilson (who has Down Syndrome) when he started going to speech therapy then occupational therapy, it made his life so much easier, cause he learned different exorcises, how to get rid of old habits, How to talk and sign, and he loved being in therapy and spending time with his therapist! Plus it made it easier to take care of him :) I love to volunteer, I've volunteered the past couple years at the local library, I have also volunteered at a historical site (Fort Vancouver Historical Site) by dressing up in historically correct clothing and telling guests about fort Vancouver. I also love to knit, sew, crochet, draw, paint, and read." |
