Ira Stechel is a partner at Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs LLP, practicing in the areas of income tax and benefits planning, as well as all aspects of tax controversies and advocacy.
Ira is a member of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association and the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association and serves on a number of committees within those sections. Ira is also an Advisory Board member of BNA Tax Management, Inc. and is the author of two monographs, both of which are portfolios within the Tax Management U.S. Income Tax series. In addition, Ira has contributed numerous articles to leading professional publications and is a frequent lecturer on tax-related topics. He also serves as a member of the liaison committee with private tax practitioners established by the Commissioner of Revenue Services of the State of Connecticut.
