Valerie and me were strolling down the hallway. "See ya after art." she said as she went to english. I sighed and walked down the hallway. As I was walking, the best artist in our school, Carly Hopkins pushed me out of the way. "Move it punk!" she said roughly. I tried to think of a comeback, but I had to think a long time and before I was done thinking, she left.
Carly also pushed Ray throught the art door as he was coming in. We all took our seats as Mrs. Calboat, the art teacher said, "Children, today we will paint beautiful flowers that remind us," she paused,"That it is spring." Carly raised her hand and asked," Will we get graded?" "Yes." Mrs. Calboat answered,"We will." "Well then, we all know who´s getting an A, don´t we know? I know, ME! It´s me!" Ray rolled his brown eyes."Well get to work know!" Mrs. C said. I decided I would draw sunflowers in a vase. It was very nice. Mrs. C walked around. "Nice colors Carly, beautiful job." We all rolled our eyes. Then, Mrs. C came to my picture. "Beautiful better, better than Carly´s!" She held up my picture. "Class," she said,"Look how well Nora´s sunflowers are!" Then i felt good inside. Me, Nora Baker had beat the best artist in school! |
